Lumen is the first release from the Barenbrug Australia Persian clover development program. Bred and selected at Howlong in Riverina NSW, Lumen is a late maturity Persian clover to enhance performance in Laser and Shaftal applications. Hay, silage and grazing systems will benefit from the inclusion of Lumen in fodder production and short-term forages generally.
Lumen exhibits improved seedling vigour and emergence, with comparative yield increase in all seasons from late autumn to late spring. Breeder and commercial trials indicate an overall 5% dry-matter yield improvement over Laser and Turbo. Lumen will be available from autumn 2026.
Features of Lumen
