Community Sponsorship & Grants Program
Barenbrug is committed to supporting the well-being, vibrancy, and sustainability of rural and regional communities across Australia. Through our Local Rural Community Sponsorship & Grants Program, we aim to give back to the communities that support our people, our customers, and our industry.
Each year, Barenbrug will award three (3) grants of $5,000 to local initiatives that promote community well-being, strengthen regional resilience, and deliver meaningful local benefits.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to not-for-profit organisations and community groups based in rural or regional Australia, including but not limited to:

Funding Scope
Projects must demonstrate clear benefit to a rural or regional community and may include:
- Upgrades to sporting club infrastructure or equipment
- Community-led sustainability or ag-education programs
- Events or festivals that foster community spirit or mental health awareness
- Support for volunteer services or youth engagement activities
- Local infrastructure that improves access, safety, or inclusion
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, the applicant must:
- Be based in a regional or rural location
- Be a registered not-for-profit or community group (ABN required)
- Have the capacity to deliver the initiative within 12 months
- Demonstrate community support and clear local benefit
- Not have received a Barenbrug grant in the previous 12 months
Assessment Criteria
Members of the Senior Leadership will review all applications submitted and make their decision based on the Assessment Criteria.

How to Apply
Applicants must complete the Barenbrug Community Grant Application Form (below) by the closing date.
Each application should include:
- Sponsorship summary
- Budget breakdown
- Supporting documents (e.g. letters of support, images, previous outcomes if applicable)
Timelines
Applications open: 1st July 2026
Applications close: 31st December 2026
Successful applicants notified: Within 30 days of application submission
Project delivery period: Within 12 months of grant receipt
Conditions of Funding
- Funds must be used strictly for the approved project
- A brief report and photos will be required upon project completion
- Barenbrug reserves the right to publicise the initiative and its outcomes.

- Terms & Conditions
The Following terms and conditions apply to an applicant who has submitted an application for the 2025 Barenbrug Community Grants Program
- Applications are invited from rural and regional not-for-profit organisations and community groups
- By accepting the $5,000 cash grant from Barenbrug Australia, Applicants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions
- If an application does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, it will be ruled invalid and withdrawn from consideration
- All requests for sponsorship must complete the Barenbrug Community Grants application form.
- Applications must be submitted by an authorised representative of the organisation
- Employees, contractors and suppliers of Barenbrug Australia and their immediate families are not eligible to apply
- The grant application question “Sponsorship Summary” needs to be answered and outline how you would spend the cash grant to make a meaningful impact on your organisation. This will be used to select the recipient who, in the opinion of Barenbrug Australia, have answered the question with the most merit
- Barenbrug Australia reserve the right to request proof that a sponsored clubs website incorporates the link to www.Barenbrug.com.au and image or video highlighting the sponsorship will be featured and supplied by the club to Barenbrug
- Barenbrug Australia may also reference the Barenbrug Community Sponsorship Program and a sponsored organisation in company communication via Barenbrug social media platforms
- Barenbrug Australia’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into
- Barenbrug Australia will notify the successful applicant via email within 30 days of the application being sent
- The successful applicant must reply to the notification email to claim the grant. If the grant remains unclaimed after 14 days, Barenbrug Australia has the right to allocate the grant to another applicant
- Barenbrug Australia reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the applications of entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an application that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the application process
- Applicants are responsible for all cost associated with submitting an Application for the Cash Grant and Barenbrug products
- The successful Grant Recipient undertakes to spend the funds on a purpose that will benefit their organisation as outlined in their application
- The successful organisation will be awarded the cash grant via EFT to the organisation nominated account
- Application forms must be completed by 31.12.2025
