A new hybrid, late maturing tetraploid ryegrass.
-
Late maturity
-
Perfect for over-sowing run down pasture
-
Late season quality
Regain Hybrid can be used to ‘top-up’ run-down pastures by oversowing into established perennial or hybrid stands. Regain Hybrid can also be sown as a sole stand for a 2+ year high-quality pasture. The late-maturity of Regain Hybrid will allow the for late-season quality well into summer (under high rainfall or irrigated conditions). The genetics of Regain Hybrid will also perform well for winter and early-spring growth, superior to that of perennial ryegrass options helping fill critical feed deficits.
For a long-termed pasture phase, Barenbrug recommends the use of Shogun NEA (2-3 year), Samurye NEA12 (2-4 years) or Forge NEA hybrid (3-5 years) ryegrasses that will offer superior long-term performance through the NEA series of endophytes to deter important insect pests such as black-beetle, root aphid and Argentine stem weevil.
Regain Hybrid is a low endophyte option and recommended for sheep and cattle only. Regain Hybrid is not suitable for equine forage.
