What is RPR?

Traditional perennial ryegrass establishes quickly but grows as individual plants, limiting its ability to recover from heavy wear. Developed by Barenbrug in 2009, RPR (Regenerating Perennial Ryegrass) became the first turf-quality perennial ryegrass to produce regenerating determinate stolons, combining elite turf quality with regenerative growth. Its unique characteristics were so distinct that RPR was recognized as its own subspecies of perennial ryegrass. 

Then, in 2015, RPR became the first and only turf-quality perennial ryegrass to receive a utility patent for its determinate stolon technology.
