Maximising animal performance in tropical pasture systems is the key to profit. Recognising this, leading Barenbrug has brought together some of Australia’s foremost experts in animal health and nutrition as part of a travelling roadshow series for beef producers through Northern Australia.

 

Seminars will be held throughout August across 9 locations through northern Australia, including: Katherine, Moree, Casino, Dubbo, Tamworth, Townsville, Rockhampton, Roma and Kingaroy. Each seminar will feature a program of speakers from Meat & Livestock Australia, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, Resource Consulting Services, Incitec Pivot Fertilisers and Barenbrug.

 

“This roadshow series is part of our commitment to supporting the productivity of Northern agriculture,” explained Barenbrug’ Tropical Portfolio Manager Brent Scott.

 

“We understand that there are a lot of factors for beef producers to consider in terms of building a profitable and sustainable business. Getting away from the farm is not always an option for Northern producers - time and distance is often a limiting factor. By bringing experts to local farming communities, we’re hoping that we can help as many producers as possible to access the information they need to boost their productivity and grow their businesses.”

 

Speakers will cover a range of topics around successful establishment of tropical pastures, and how to manage feed availability in tropical pasture systems. Producers will also learn how to maximise animal performance and grazing management.

 

“Our aim with this event is to provide as much current information as possible so that producers can make informed decisions about their business. By taking a whole system approach to animal production, we hope that producers will get maximum benefit from the seminar,” said Mr Scott.

 

Barenbrug, which is part of the global Royal Barenbrug Group, will also use the seminars as an opportunity to introduce producers and industry partners to the Barenbrug brand as it transitions to the Barenbrug name later this year.
